Summary:

This story is based in the Khaled Hosseini's book of the same name and it's about Amir who is the only child of a very important man in the city that loves to help people and be praised for other, but at the same time he underestimate his son because he thinks he's a weak boy. For that reason he became Hassan's friend because he has the strong side that he hasn't.

Every year people in the town celebrate The Kites Day with a competition where all boys in the city trie to bring down the other kites.

That year Amir and Hassan were the champions but the day didn't finish as they wanted. Assef, Kamal and Wali raped Hassan. Amir couldn't do anything and he felt guilty and no more talked to Hassan.

In that days the Soviets invaded Afghanistan and the Talibans appeared to start the war in Afghanistan. For that reason Amir and his father had to flee to The United States.

In the Unated States they became merchants and then Amir knew Soraya, a beautiful woman and he felt in love with her. Amir studied at a public university and wrote a book called The Kite Runner and before he started the promotion he recieved an important call. He had to travel to Afghanistan and rescue his nephew, Hassan's son.

Once in Afghanistan, Rahim Khan told Amir the situation in the country and the truth about Hassan and he ask him that save Sohrab. Amir goes to an orphanage to find Sohrab but the child wasn't there and he had to travel around the country to find him.

Amir found Sohrab. He was used as a sexual object to satisfy the lowest instincs of the Taliban people where he was. Surprisingly the person who has the little boy was the same that raped Hassan, the terrible Assef.

The End:

Finally, both back to San Francisco to live as a family. At the begining it wasn't easy but Amir did all to make Sohrab feel as a part of the family.

This is my favorite movie. I really enjoy to watch it because talks about friendship and the strong familiar bonds that cross borders. Maybe some times we don't do the right things, but destiny gives second chances to correct the mistakes we make in the past. I rate this movie with a ten, because you can find all you want, a good story, adventure, drama, and people facing life adversities. I hope you could see this movie and enjoy it.
